History
A passion for the outdoors first led George Dalziel (Dal) to the north country
in 1929, where he explored the north as a young trapper in the 1930’s, and then
as a pioneer bush pilot. He and his wife June had a lifelong love of the
northern wilderness and an appreciation for the natural world. They founded the
original outfitting company in the same area as today, offering guided hunts to
compliment their established business of BC Yukon Air Service. Dal and June
raised a family, and lived seasonally between Telegraph Creek and Watson Lake,
Yukon.

Dal retired thirty years later, and his daughter Sherry and son-in-law Myles
were appointed to continue building the business that Dal had initiated. Having
been involved in the business for many years, this was a natural step for
Sherry and Myles who in turn raised their own family in the north and within
the guiding area, providing a unique way of life for their children.

Today, their daughter Devlin and her husband Billy Oestreich are taking the
business forward into the next generation with a well-established client base.
Many people have become friends as well as clients and return year after year
often with their own families.

Bradford & Co. is a small, close knit business, assisted by a crew of
family members and other dedicated and professional guides, wranglers and cooks
who help carry forward the tradition established by the Dalziel, Bradford and
Oestreich families.
